We're building China's #1 day trip platform.
Because we've been exactly where you are.
China, made easy. No hidden fees, no jade factories, no rushed schedules.
It all started in 2025, when our founder Fan spent six months traveling across China with seven of his international friends from 5 different countries.
They visited every corner of this amazing country: the futuristic skyscrapers of Shanghai and Shenzhen, the ancient hutongs of Beijing and Xi'an, the misty karst mountains of Guilin and Zhangjiajie, the spicy food paradise of Chengdu and Chongqing, and the tropical beaches of Hainan.
But what should have been the trip of a lifetime turned into a daily battle against the system.
Every single day, they faced the same problems that every international traveler in China knows all too well:
- They couldn't buy a bottle of water from a street vendor because cash wasn't accepted and they couldn't set up Alipay
- Google Maps didn't work, and Baidu Maps gave them directions to places that didn't exist
- They booked a "Great Wall day trip" online only to end up at a fake section and spent 3 hours in a jade factory
- They couldn't book tickets to the Forbidden City because it only accepted Chinese ID numbers
- They ordered food from a restaurant with pictures, only to get something completely different
- They asked for help at a train station, and no one spoke English
Fan watched his friends go from excited to exhausted. They loved China. They were blown away by how modern, safe, and beautiful it was. But they were tired of feeling like they were "fighting" just to have a normal day.
They weren't asking for special treatment. They just wanted to be able to do the same things that locals do. To eat at the best restaurants. To see the most beautiful views. To meet real people. Without having to become "half-Chinese" first.
"The entire Chinese travel industry is built for Chinese people. No one is building for us."
All the existing platforms are just translated versions of Chinese apps. All the tour companies care about is checking off as many landmarks as possible in 8 hours. No one was actually listening to what international travelers want.
Six months later, GuideChinaHub was born.
Today, we're on a mission to become the undisputed #1 day trip platform in China. And we're doing it by solving the problems that no one else will.
We don't work with big corporate tour operators. We handpick the best local guides in every city — people who speak fluent English, who love their hometowns, and who know all the spots that don't show up on Google Maps.
We don't design routes for speed. We design them for feeling. We spend weeks testing every experience ourselves, eating at every restaurant, walking every trail, to make sure it's something we would want to share with our own friends.
We don't do forced shopping, rushed schedules, or fake attractions. Every experience on GuideChinaHub is personally approved by our team. If we wouldn't take our own friends on it, we don't list it.
We handle all the hard stuff for you. Tickets, transportation, payments, reservations — so you can just relax and enjoy your day.
What we believe
The best day trips aren't about how many places you see.
They're about the moments that stay with you forever.
- 1Learning to make hand-pulled noodles from a third-generation chef in Lanzhou
- 2Drinking tea with a monk in a 1,000-year-old temple outside Hangzhou
- 3Exploring street art with a local artist in Chongqing
- 4Watching the sunrise over the Great Wall with no crowds around you
- 5Eating hot pot with a local family in their Chengdu home
To make exploring China as easy as exploring your own city.
To become the first name international travelers think of when planning a trip to China.
Traveler First
We make every decision based on what's best for you, not what's most profitable for us.
Authenticity
We only offer experiences that show you the real China, not the tourist version.
Transparency
No hidden fees, no fine print, no surprises.
Quality Over Quantity
We'd rather have 10 amazing experiences than 100 mediocre ones.
Local Connection
We build bridges between travelers and local communities.
